Dear coffee friends!The 3rd Nordic Barista Cup 2005 awaits you!! This year the venue is in the old Viking city of Oslo, Norway through the days from the 22nd to the 24th of September.
First Day
Today the teams started out in the classroom with Arno Schwenk from Probat. It was a ”theoretical roaster class”, to prepare the baristas for their first workshop: Roasting Class.
Winner Day 1: Denmark
Every day of the NBC the teams will be evaluated during the day, and a winner pronounced each evening. And yesterday the danish national team was announced winner of the day.
Program Day 2
Today the technical skills of the national baristas will be in focus.
Coffee brewing competition
The NBC-baristas were not only evaluated by the judges at the competitions. The attendants were also given a vote to find the team which brewed the best coffee.
Winner Day 2: Norway
The Norwegian baristas had a good time during the day while training and cupping.
Program Public Day
Each team will get an outside area at a coffee bar in Oslo where they can serve and sell coffee to Oslo citizens for one and a half hour.
Coffee Kids Collection
Today the Oslo citizens had the chance to support the organisation Coffee Kids as the national teams set out to the streets of sunny Oslo.
Competition Results
The grand final started at 1445 hrs at the Olaf Ryes Plass in Oslo. Each team had their own station and the cups run simultaneously.
