Program For Attendees

As an attendee you will find your program of the Nordic Barista Cup 2005 on this page. Please be aware that as a part of the competition some of the elements are published on the exact competition day. The program is designed to contain different elements in conformity with the visions of the Nordic Barista Cup thus you will experience educational, practical, unusual, difficult and enjoyable tracks. Please be aware that some of the program takes place during the national team’s competition time and that small adjustment of the program can occur.

Coffee and Health – presented by Norwegian Coffee AssociationInternationally coffee has been a subject to criticism among some due to health disadvantages. Of course we coffee lovers are somewhat sceptical to this. Coffee researchers will give a nuance view of coffee and health. Something to learn for all of us, when communicating with our customers, marketing material etc.

Syrups – presented by Da Vinci Syrup. Some syrups can be used in cold drinks others not. Why is it so?
Da Vinci will give us a lecture in how syrups is made and what happens in contact with cold and warm drinks

Grinders – presented by Mahlkönig.
A theoretical and practical lecture in how to install, adjust, clean and maintain grinders.

Saturday 24th of September – final competition day

Outdoor coffee day.
Various activities amongst others a coffee bar crawl with a quiz for attendees

Attendees are selected to judge the national teams’ performances

14:30-16:00
Nordic Barista Cup – final part

19:00-
Social Program at restaurant Månefisken – the overall winner of the Nordic Barista Cup will be announced
