The quest for a wet mill for the Mankira farmers has begun. At the moment Johan&Nyström stores in Sweden are selling bags of coffee, that was donated for the project.
WE URGE YOU TO BUY THE COFFEES AND SUPPORT THE PROJECT
It all began at Nordic Roaster Forum 2012 in Stockholm where the basis of NRF Foundation was laid out: To support Ethiopian coffee farmers with money generated for the Foundation. At the 2012 NRF open board meeting 15 bags of coffee were donated to raise money.

The first selected project was to support a wet-mill facility where the Mankira farmers can process their coffee themselves – and thereby control the quality of the coffee.
At the moment they have to sell their coffee beans to the local market at a low price. This has made it impossible for them to benefit from the coffee growing business. Therefore they cannot improve the lively-hood for themselves and their family.
Johan & Nyström (host of NRF 2012) works together with Nordic Roaster Forum Foundation to roast, sell and collect money for a bank loan-guarantee. The coffee for sale has (so far) been donated by:
