Charles Nystrand
Charles is from the city of Helsingborg and started working as a barista six years ago. Charles became the national champion in Barista Cup 2005. Shortly after he moved to Oslo to continue working with coffee at Robert Thoresen´s coffee bar Java. There he is responsible for sample roasting and cupping sessions.
”I love cupping and discovering new interesting coffees. The best thing about the barista profession is probably being able to influence the final cup result”.
”Experimenting with dosing- and brewing techniques in order to see how it affects flavour is very interesting”.
When Charles is not at Java you will most likely find him on his bicycle cruising the Norwegian landscape. Cycling is Charles other passion in life outside the world of coffee.
2006 is the second year Charles is a member of the Swedish National Barista Team.

Since march 2006, Anne is working at a quality roastery Mocca in Oslo, owned by Robert Thoresen.
”What I find most interesting about coffee is the diversity of the business. Traceability-transparency in the production line is very important to me. I want to know what I consume and what I serve my guests. This is something I try to integrate into my everyday life”.
Nebo Uskokovic
I have been working as a barista for seven years now. I started at Waynes Coffee to where I have just returned to work as a barista and coffee developer.
Much of what inspired me in the barista culture came from working at an Italian coffee bar called Non Solo Bar. There I worked for four years. I have also worked as a bartender/barista at The Garden (Stockholmsmässan).
After competing a couple of years I won Beige Award 2005.
