Coffee Crawl In Gothenburg

It’s hard to believe we are almost to the end of the event!

But as tradition dictates, the final day of the Nordic Barista Cup 2007 will be the most exciting one yet. This morning, attendees have left to participate in a café crawl through the city of Gothenburg.

We were given flyers with instructions to visit at least 7 of the designated cafes, answer trivia questions about each café, and submit their answers for a chance to win a special prize! Cafes on the tour include: Bar Italia, Muffins mm., Condeco, G-Chocolate, Ecostore, Brogylien, da Matteo, Espresso house Nk, Mauritz, and Bar Centro.

We were welcomed to G-Chocolate by the friendly staff. The store has only been open for eight weeks, but has already made quite a name for itself in town.

The magazine rack at Viktoriapassagen Da Matteo features some interesting reading!

A few tour groups ran into each other at Bar Carlo.

Espresso House is the largest coffee chain in Sweden with more than 50 stores.

Meanwhile, back at the tent, teams have been working since 6 in the morning assembling their cafes for business. In just ½ hour, the public will be allowed into the tent to exchange Swedish kroner for Barista Dollars, and use them to buy coffees and treats (one café is even selling Barista Magazine in their shop!).

The atmosphere is electric in here as we approach the big event, so please check back often for updates!
