Good morning, coffee lovers.
We’re just under an hour away from the start of this year’s Nordic Barista Cup program, attendees are having some breakfast and coffee, while David and Jay are getting everyone warmed up.
Our program today is a full bill of fantastic speakers, covering a broad array of topics. Kicking off at 9am, Rene Redzepi will be giving a presentation, intriguingly titled ‘Coffee Is The Shit’. We’ll then be shifting focus to our feature producing country for this year, with Peter Kimata speaking about ‘Agronomy of Kenyan Coffee’, followed by a cupping of Kenyan coffee, looking at regions, varieties, grading and defects. At 11:30am, Doug Zell takes the lectern, talking about coffee bars and the evolution of hospitality.
